Crowborough Choral Society

Patrons: Felicity Lott D.B.E. and Serena Kay

About Us...

Founded in 1967 by Colin Moore, Crowborough Choral Society has sung in six countries and in seven languages, and over the years has performed over 300 works composed between 1565 and 2012.

The society performs two classical concerts a year, and a more light-hearted summer concert. There are also Christmas carols at local churches.

In addition to singing, the society organises a range of social events for members and their partners, including quiz evenings, barn dances and race nights. In recent years the choir has visited Poland, Spain and Hungary. A concert in St Michael's Church, Budapest was shared with the Zrínyi Miklós Egyetemi Énekkar choir.

Join Us...

Rehearsals take place at Herne County Junior School, Herne Road, Crowborough TN6 2NT, on Wednesday evenings from 7.45–9.45 pm during school terms.

The school hall is a great place to sing in and there's ample car parking space. We don't have formal auditions and no one will ask you to sing on your own, so why not come to a rehearsal and give singing with us a try?

We don't audition singers or expect you to read music fluently. We do support all our singers and you will find a friendly welcome. Social events are an important part of the choir's year, so everyone has a chance to get to know each other better. The choir has already had successful musical holidays in Poland, Spain and Hungary.
